Docker images for ColdFusion

At the CFSummit East last month we announced the availability of Docker images for ColdFusion from Adobe. They are available on bintray and here is the direct URL to access the images: https://bintray.com/eaps/coldfusion/ In that list of images you will also find API Manager, API Manager addons along with the image for ColdFusion server. Do give these images a try and let us know your feedback.

Supplied Drivers?

Hi Adobe, The “Data Source Management for ColdFusion” doc, under “Supplied Drivers” has always listed “Microsoft Access”, but Adobe says 1) the 32-bit ODBC driver always ships with Windows itself and 2) CF doesn’t install an ODBC driver and 3) the 64-bit ODBC driver install must be done separately? Question: Could you please explain what “Supplied Drivers” means, especially as it pertains to ODBC being listed but requiring manual install? Thanks!,-Aaron

Is Control Better than Speed for your ColdFusion Apps?

Do you feel like your company is moving in slow-motion? Would you like your company to be more agile and flexible? What about your ColdFusion applications? Do they move as quickly and efficiently as you would like? Speed requires two other keys to in order to be achieved chiefly: the willingness to let go of control and become more flexible. Remember what legendary race car driver Mario Andretti once said, “If everything seems under control, you’re not going fast enough.” […]

If you are on ColdFusion 11 or earlier, then you will not be eligible for the upgrade pricing.

USPS Shipping API Ending TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.0 Support, is your ColdFusion Server Ready?

At CF Webtools we recently went through a round of server upgrades to handle the Authorize.net ending support for older TLS versions. Now USPS, United State Postal Service, is doing the same thing with their Shipping APIs. This is going to be happening for all API’s and most likely all this year as PCI requirements for ending support for TLS 1.1 and older at the end of June 2018. This is according to the PCI Security Standards Council. USPS will […]

Configuring Status Worker in Connectors

***NOTE: This document was originally created by a member of the ColdFusion Engineering Team*** Sometimes it is useful to know the real-time load on a ColdFusion Server. One way to get this information is through cfstat, which displays the relevant information at CF server/Tomcat level. Another way to get this information is through Status worker, which displays the information at Webserver/Connector level. A status worker is a special type of worker which does not communicate with Tomcat. Instead, it gathers configuration and […]

ColdFusion Lives

I’ve been using ColdFusion since the Allaire days and with so many people saying ColdFusion is dead, I’m glad to see that Adobe is keeping things alive.  I’m also happy to see a site like this where people can come and find answers, post solutions, and just get general knowledge about ColdFusion because a Google search can be a bit aggravating. Keep up the good work Adobe.
