how to remove/edit cf server node from PMT.
Trying to figure out how to re-enable a CF server in PMT. the CF Node was deleted then it was re-created so now it has a different “Monitoring Shared Secret”
The old server node still showing in PMT as: Untracked
when I try to Enable it it fails. I believe it is because this is the old server node and it has the old secret.
I do want to use the same node name and port.
there has to be a way to either update existing server node in PMT with the new secrete or simply just delete it.
If I try to add new server node (same name and same port but different key) PMT tell me that node already exists.
Any help will be appreciated.
Hi,
Unfortunately, there is currently no way to remove an obsolete untracked server from the list through the PMT UI. I’ve flagged it as an enhancement request with Adobe, and hopefully at some point they will add it.
The only way to remove the untracked servers is using the underlying ElasticSearch API. Check out this link to see the enhancement request, and details of how to delete unwanted servers via the API:
https://tracker.adobe.com/#/view/CF-4212671
Be sure to test the deletion process in a test environment before hitting your production environment!
HTH.
Mike.
