When activating the license for Adobe ColdFusion 2021 or 2023, it is essential to ensure that the server has an active internet connection. Without internet connectivity, the activation process will fail.                                                               

If the server connects to the internet through a proxy, additional configuration may be required. Specifically, it is crucial to whitelist the necessary Adobe endpoints to allow seamless license activation.

• https://coldfusion.adobe.io
• https://cfactivation.adobe.com

If there is no internet connectivity, the below steps can be followed to activate the ColdFusion License offline.         

1. Login to ColdFusion admin console and navigate to “Licensing and Activation” option.2. Enter the serial key , and click on “Activate” button. It will fail and will give you the option for activating the ColdFusion in offline as shown in the below screenshot.  (Note:- Do not close this browser until you activate the License).  3. Please click on the “Generate Activation Request” button, as shown in the screenshot below. 4. Once you click on “Generate Activation Request” button, it will generate the activation request file and will give you the location where the file got generated as shown in the below screenshot.                                                  Path: {ColdFusion-Home}\cfusion\.config folder. 

5. Copy the above file to the server where you have internet connectivity and access the URL: https://www.adobe.com/go/coldfusion-activate.

6.  On the above URL, it will give you the option to upload the generated request file , as shown in below screenshot. 7. Once you click on choose file and upload the Generated request file, it will allow you to generate the response code as shown in the below screen shot, click on Generate and Download Response Code to download responseCode.json .8. Once downloaded, copy the responeCode.json file to the Server where ColdFusion is running.

9. Access the ColdFusion Admin page, navigate to CF admin ->” Licensing and Activation” Page, and Click on upload option on the Activation response.

10. Choose the responseCode.json file and click on submit, the License will be activated.
