Hi, I am running windows server 2016 with licensed version of CF2018 Enterprise and I just installed licensed version of CF2021 Enterprise. When I go into cfadmin on CF2018 and click to download the latest update (update 16) it downloads without issue. When I go into cfadmin on CF2021 and click to down load any of the available updates 3 thru 6 it just sits there and says downloading but nothing is happening. Any explanation why that works on CF2018 and not CF2021 on the same server? Thanks.

CF 2021 (which I’m running) has three vulnerability updates that need to be installed. My CF console tells me that using a star on the top right of the page. Clicking on that star takes me to the Package Manager page. On this page there is no evidence of the updates being available. If I click “Check for Updates” nothing happens. The available updates dropdown only shows Update 6.
What version of Java do you see listed in the cf admin settings summary page? Though it may seem a pointless question, it can indeed matter, if it’s very old or very new (from this week).
Yes, this is a common problem, and it has to do with the jvm cf is running. Further, my guess is that your cf2021 is running with its original JVM (11.0.1, from 2020), while your cf2018 may be running with a JVM (8 or 11) that’s been updated since then. Can you confirm the jvm reported on the settings summary page of cf2018, and for 2021?
As for updating the jvm for your cf2021, the current latest update to 11 is 11.0.18. But beware that updating beyond 11.0.17 has an issue, as does updating beyond 11.0.11.
