Adobe has been uncharacteristically quiet about this years CF Summit.
I’ve held off on this post to see if there was going to be an announcement forthcoming from Adobe, but since it’s long overdue (at least in relation to previous years announcements) I’m moving forward.
Has there been any formal announcement of ColdFusion Summit 2021? The cfsummit.adobeevents.com website is still showing last year’s conference. CF Dev Week just wrapped up a very successful set of sessions. Previous years events have been announced as early as March and April… so waiting until August for a Summit that typically happens in October/November is unusual. It certainly doesn’t bode well for anyone hoping to return to a live event in my home-city of Las Vegas.
Has anyone heard anything? Know any rumors?

Good news on this front: Adobe announced yesterday that the Summit will happen–virtually again–Dec 7-8.
I kept quiet, to see if anyone from Adobe might speak up, or anyone else with more news. Since no one has, I’ll offer some thoughts.
I’ve not heard any news either, and I suspect we can conclude that there will be no live event this year. And even whether there will be a virtual one is unclear. As you say, at least we had the recent Dev Week.
Perhaps they may seek to have another devweek in the months soon after Summit would have been. Or they may surprise us and announce another virtual version of the summit, in the normal October timeframe.
