If you would like to request access to the CF2020 prerelease, you can send an email to the address CFPrerelease@adobe.com. This was announced today by CF Product Manager Rakshith Narish at his Adobe CF DevWeek presentation. For some more info, read on.

You may have heard that the next release of CF is coming, which will likely be called ColdFusion 2020 (but is also referred to as “cfnext” or its code name “Stratus”).

While there was a blog post back in November announcing that the prerelease was coming, I have not seen a post saying that the prerelease HAS started.

More important, while that page indicated that if you were interested, you should fill in a surveymonkey survey, it has not (yet) been updated to reflect this simpler option of sending an email to that address. And while I could have added this only as a comment, I thought it might stand out better as (and deserve to be) a post of its own.

Finally, as for what’s in CF2020, or “when it’s coming” and more, such things can’t be discussed publicly by participants in the prerelease, other than what may have been shared publicly by Adobe.

Rather than ask any such questions here, you really should just join the prerelease. 🙂 You will get access first to a large PDF of what’s new, and there is also a private discussion forum where features and other questions can be discussed.
