Sad news to report: the annual CF Summit East (2020) conference has now been cancelled, due to concerns over the Corona virus.

I have not seen a post here from Adobe, nor have they mentioned it on their twitter feed (@coldfusion), but if you visit the summit web site, the announcement is there. Bottom line:

In an abundance of caution for their customers, partners, and employees, Adobe has made the difficult but important decision to cancel the Adobe ColdFusion Summit East 2020 in Washington, D.C.

There are more details there, including answers to anticipated questions (especially about the Certification exam, also cancelled, and plans for an upcoming Developer Week where the sessions are planned to be offered online).

And I suspect we will soon see a formal announcement from Adobe here and in twitter, as well as (one would hope) emails to those who had registered. (I have not seen one, but I was due to be a speaker, so I might not get an email sent only to registrants.) But I wanted to offer this here in the meantime, for those who might not have heard of the cancellation otherwise.

For now, there’s no news on impact on the next CF-oriented conference (at this writing), Into the Box 2020.

Finally, there are still other Adobe-offered online webinars coming up. Again I have not seen posts here on them all, so I will offer that in a next post.
