New install CF2018 Developer Edition, adding DSN for MS Access gives error: “The ColdFusion ODBC Server service is not running or has not been installed…”
I downloaded CF developer edition yesterday and installed successfully.Went to set up the DNS in the admin. I entered the name and selected MS Access from the drop down list of drivers and get this message:
“The ColdFusion ODBC Server service is not running or has not been installed. You may also use the “MS Access with Unicode” driver to connect to MS Access datasources.”
(there is no “MS Access with Unicode” in the list, but never mind)
Here are the details copied from the CF admin system info:

Is there an update or fix for this? I have found this issue listed on other help forums but the solution is either missing, redirects to a generic page, or, in one case, just too convoluted to follow. Any help much appreciated!
I have the same problem with a fresh install. Both ODBC services are installed but the ODBC Server service wont start. Error 1053: the service did not respond to the request in a timely manner. This is a fresh CF 2018 install with no updates applied. I tried installing the x86 vc++ runtime redistributable package as one post suggested but that did not help.

Any help would be appreciated as we are evaluating CF 2018 to use with a legacy application that requires a single ODBC data source to run successfully. This is a show stopper unfortunately.
