We are pleased to announce that we have released the updates for the following ColdFusion versions:
The following are links to the tech notes for each update:
The releases address security vulnerabilities, which are documented in the bulletin APSB19-27.
We have made the following updates in these releases:
- Updates to LiveCycle Data Services. (For ColdFusion 2018 Update 4, ColdFusion 2016 Update 11, and ColdFusion 11 Update 19)
- Updates to JNBridge. (For ColdFusion 2018 Update 4 and ColdFusion 2016 Update 11)
- Added support for the following platforms in ColdFusion 2018 Update 4:
- IBM PowerPC based RHEL 7.6 and SuSE 15
- Mac OS X 10.14
- Added support for the function FileAppend. (For ColdFusion 2018 Update 4 and ColdFusion 2016 Update 11)
Update: 6/12/2019: We have updated the Docker images for the 2018 and 2016 releases of ColdFusion with the latest updates.
For a list of the bugs fixed in these updates, see the following:
Also, can we assume work is underway to get updated Docker containers for 2016 and 2018 (https://bintray.com/eaps/coldfusion/cf%3Acoldfusion)?
Great, thanks. Having these as soon as possible can help those who use them to test the updates against their app.
For those not yet considering that as an option, I will be doing a talk at CF Summit in Oct on the topic of getting started with the Adobe CF docker images. (I plan to do some blog posts before that as well, for those who may not be attending the conference.)
Great to see the many fixes. That said, I am very surprised to see an update for CF11, after we had been told (and many of us have repeated to folks) that there would be no more updates to CF11 after its public support ended in April.
I see no elaboration on this here or in the technote for its update 19. Of course, it’s appreciated, especially given the security update included (and some bug fixes).
But can anyone from Adobe clarify things, about this update 19 and going forward about CF11?
Charlie,
Update 19 is the final update of CF 11. CF 11 is now out of core support. Check the EOL matrix, https://helpx.adobe.com/support/programs/eol-matrix.html#CD
We’d put this as a note in the CF 11 updates page, https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-11-updates.html
