The ColdFusion Updates page on adobe.com [1] should be updated. There is only CHF1 and CHF2 mentioned. No word about CHF3 and CHF3 for CF 9.0.1.

@Ascender
Yes, you can follow that step even after applying the hotfix, but make sure you take backup of existing jpedal.jar file.

Hello,

I just noticed that between Friday and today, another step has been added to the CHF 4 (downloading jpedal). I just happened upon that by chance. Can I download jpedal.jar after the HotFix was applied, and where can I subscribe (other than to blogs) so that I can get on the hotfix list?

@Tom
Bug #3508952 was there in the technote. Yes, it is not listed in the table but if you can find it in note section.

@Piyush
Thanks for checking; it isn’t listed in the tech note and hasn’t been updated in the issue tracker, but CHF4 does appear to solve the issue.

My thanks to Adobe for the quick turn around on these fixes.

@Tom
Can you confirm if the issue with implicit struct exists even after applying CHF4?

If you referring to whether this would show up as a “new update available” notification in the CF10 administrator, then the answer is no. You need to reapply Update 8 to get the fix

Regarding ColdFusion 10 CHF refresh, would the updater grab it if the version number is not changed? Please advice.

Also noting that hf900-81860.jar is not listed to backup in the CF9.0.0 CHF3 technote in step #6 and it should be since it was rolled into CHF3.

@itapl2 – CHF for CF9.0.2 and CF10U8 were just refreshed once after the initial release. This was to include the fix the JavaScript for 3508603

Bug ID 81860 links to https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3040856 and is applicable to CF9.0 only. We will get it removed from the fix list in the tech note for CF9.0.1. Thanks for pointing it out.

Cheers David. Looks like a totally unrelated fix added to CF9.0.1 then.

@Rakshith – I shouldn’t wont waste my time trying the updated CHF3 then ? What is the plan to unbreak the compiler or whatever it is ?

The original bug description for 81860 can be found here:
http://www.elliottsprehn.com/cfbugs/bugs/81860

@Rakshith

I only thought 81860 only applied to CF9.0.0 since it was listed as the only individual HF for 9.0.0 between CHF1 and now CHF3. Is it supposed to be listed on CHF4 for CF9.0.1?

Please clarify your comment “For ColdFusion 10 and ColdFusion 9.0.2 the updates have been refreshed to fix an issue with the Google Map API and the related technotes can be found here” has Update 8 for CF 10 been updated a 2nd time since it’s initial release? IE Original CF 10 Update 8, 1st re-release 10.0.8.283965, and another re-release this blog is describing?

Will this be included in the automatic updates we’ve been installing on CF10?
