This may be useful info for some readers: did you know that you CAN in fact get an RSS feed of new blog posts here, or their comments? The links are:

You wouldn’t know this readily from the site here. There is no visible link offered for them–except curiously when you try to “create a post”, in which case links to them ARE offered on the right nav bar.

As some may know also, the feed links are offered as well in the underlying HTML “source” of the page. If you do a “view source” in your browser on any portal page, you will see the following among the HTML near the top:

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="ColdFusion &raquo; Feed" href="https://coldfusion.adobe.com/feed/" />
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="ColdFusion &raquo; Comments Feed" href="https://coldfusion.adobe.com/comments/feed/" />

That will benefit you if you may point an RSS/feed reader at the blog URL, in which case the reader should pick up the URL automatically.

Sadly, modern browsers no longer do any special formatting of RSS feeds, but there still are several available free feed reader tools/services which make it easy to keep up on changes in a favored blog. And I’d recommend you use something to keep up on blogs like this one, which have new content often.

Great point, Wil. And Grae, that would definitely be the better option than what you were doing. 🙂

Thanks for this.  I had resorted to Categories -> Browse All Categories -> Selecting all the Categories in the list -> Sort by Newest First.  Then of course you have to remember to load each link in a new tab/window or you have to do it all again when you press back.

Did i mention I like to make things hard on myself?

Very nice. Thanks for sharing that, John. I was not aware of that option. Quite helpful.
