I have been developing ASP.Net pages with Visual Syudio for years. I am trying to learn Cold Fusion. I tried to take a class with Learning Tree on Cold Fusion in Jan 2019 but it was cancelled. So I rescheduled in April and it was cancelled as well. I found a online class called Learn Cold Fusion in a Week and struggled through it having to adapt Cold Fusion 10 to Cold Fusiln 2018 and MySql to Sql Server. I used Notepad ++ as my editor. Two days ago we purchased Cold Fusion Builder. I am having an issue I can’t figure out.

I keep getting this message when I try to load the page from Builder

“Select file is not in the document root of the server. If the project is not in the document root, create a linked folder to the document root(selecting Project Properties >ColdFusion Project).”

Also can some one recomment a good Cold Fusion Class.

I see that remmarg also offered a similar (but differently worded) variation of this question in the Adobe CF forums. I just offered an answer there, with a lot more help for the specific issues raised (not knocking what Mike offered here also). It’s at:

I tried ColdFusion Builder, but I have been much happier using VS Code. You can find extensions that work with CF.

As far as a better learning experience, check out Ortus Solutions.
