- Connecting a MySQL DB to CF Administrator
I can’t create a DSN
Using Windows 10 and CF Builder 2018
I have several MSAccess DBs on my CF Administrator and I now want to add a MySQL DB.
The first step seems to be to establish a DSN.
The instructions say Create New Data Source and show a list of Data Sources with
“MySQL ODBC 8.0 Unicode Driver” highlighted. However my version (attached screen shot) does not offer this. It offers:
Microsoft ODBC for Oracle
ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server (and the same for 18)
SQL Server
SQL Native Client
What to do?
An anticipated problem is the port number. Mt Access databases all use Port 8500. MySQL offers Port 3300. Do they need separate ports or all on one, which would be 8500.

Judo, somehow your screenshot is not appearing here, which seems important given what you say you’re seeing (which does seem an oddly limited set of db driver types). Can you post it somewhere else (Dropbox, Google docs, etc.) and link to that?
In the meantime, I’d answered other parts of your challenge when you raised the issue a few days ago in the Adobe cf forums instead (with a different screenshot).
We never heard back from you there. Perhaps you don’t have it set to send you email notifications and just missed it. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/coldfusion-discussions/connection-verification-failed-for-data-source-mysql-jdbc-driver/m-p/15611503#M202655
Respond there to that, and here to the request for a screenshot.
