I have installed Adobe ColdFusion 2021 with Enterprise Key. The Activation was successful with the following information in the the “Activation” tab page
Server Edition : Enterprise
Activation Status : Activated
Deployment Type : Production
Device ID : XXXXXX
When I click on the “Usage” tab, I don’t see any information other than a message “The Usage data is not applicable to the serial number applied on this ColdFusion” Is this normal ?
The ‘Licensing and Activation -> Settings -> Usage Data’ is not checked and greyed out all the time. I cannot update this checkbox
We are migrating our ColdFusion application from hosting provider A to B. The application is working in A, but not in B. The only difference is in A, I can see the information in “Usage” tab, but not in B. So I was wondering is this the issue?
Shaj, I can’t help with the “usage” info problem, but perhaps Adobe can. I can say that I’ve not heard of any situation where such activation “usage” info failing to work would lead to any error in your CFML.
So first, you should open a ticket with Adobe about the “usage info” problem (either at tracker.adobe.com or by email to cfsup@adobe.com).
Second, as for the error you’re getting, you could share more about it here (is there an error message?) and perhaps we can sort that out. Or you could raise that with Adobe as well, but in that case please do update us when you learn more on either issue.
