Adobe had announced some weeks ago two upcoming webinars, one as a preview of CF2023 (originally set for Dec 22), and the other on mobile apps with CF and Monaco (originally set for Nov 23).

If like me you may have signed up for them, note that sometime recently the dates have been swapped. (Also the name of the preview session has been changed, from “Winter Holiday Special: A preview of ColdFusion 2023” to instead refer to the product code-name instead.)

Here’s the updated info. Use the link for free registration, which is required to attend–or to view the recording that is typically offered afterward for these webinars:

  • The Road to Fortuna (Wednesday, NOVEMBER 23, 2022 10:00 AM PST)
    • Join Mark Takata, Technical Evangelist for Adobe ColdFusion, as he dives into the new features of Adobe ColdFusion 2023 (codename: Fortuna), which will be shipping in the first ½ of 2023. He will cover new features, updates and changes to everyone’s favorite programming language, ColdFusion!
  • Building Native Mobile Applications with Adobe ColdFusion & Monaco.io (Thursday, DECEMBER 22, 2022 10:00 AM PST)
    • If you think you need to know Java, Swift or Objective C to build beautiful, performant native mobile applications, think again. In this talk, Mark will cover using Adobe ColdFusion 2021’s powerful API tools alongside Monaco.io’s Apache Cordova development environment to build amazing native mobile experiences for your customers.

Both are listed at https://meetus.adobeevents.com/coldfusion/, and others will surely be listed there over time, so keep an eye on that page.

BTW, if anyone (in or outside of Adobe) wonders why I posted this, it’s that I don’t see that I got any notification about this change of date. If others might be in the same boat, I wanted to share that news here. As always, just trying to help.

BTW, the session recording was posted after it was presented. It’s available within the playlist of ALL the “Summit Online” videos:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZM1k2MVdFE&list=PL3iywAijqFoWt6_O_YBAW6RbmaJokrq_R&index=10

Also, note that the product name and domain are spelled Monaca and monaca.io rather than the Monaco that had been indicated in those descriptions above here, as had been offered by Adobe. I could edit this post, but it would cause it to show up as a “new” post on the portal and in the portal feed, so with the date of those sessions having passed, I am offering this as a comment in case anyone may see this post.

Finally, FWIW, the Fortuna talk was ALSO recorded and is here:

It was not a presentation from the CF Summit (and so was not presented as part of the “CF Summit Online”), so it’s not offered in that playlist above.

Thanks, Charlie.  I had not noticed the change.  Glad someone is looking out for CF devs.
