In a nutshell, yes. We’re in the process of upgrading – going from CF11 to CF2018 AND migrating to AWS. So far it has been fairly smooth. We’ve had some issues, but those have been with migrating a local Oracle 11g Enterprise instance to Amazon RDS Oracle 19c Standard.

You might want to look at the CF2018 Migration Guide, it has a lot of good suggestions. One thing that helped a lot was to create a CAR archive file out of our CFAdmin settings. After the installation importing and “deploying” this archive made the migration much easier.
